Checklist for your first appointment at the Vienna practice
A warm welcome! So that you are well prepared for your initial consultation, you will find all the important information here at a glance.
The focus is on people and their individual concerns, resources and goals. We pursue a holistic approach that takes into account both personal life circumstances and work-related influencing factors. After all, mental well-being is the result of the interplay of many aspects - such as work environment, private relationships, health situation or life goals.
We help you to gain inner clarity, expand your scope for action and find constructive ways of dealing with stress, uncertainty or change. Whether it's about acute stress reactions, decision-making situations, conflicts, burnout tendencies or simply the need for orientation - our support is confidential, individually tailored and solution-oriented.

Flexible appointments on site or online
1. arrival & orientation
Please take a seat in the waiting room and you will be collected at the agreed time. If the start is delayed by a few minutes, we ask for your understanding. An ongoing session is always concluded in peace and quiet.
2. what you should bring with you
If available, please bring any relevant previous findings and medical or psychological reports with you. If you already have diagnoses or test results, please also bring these with you to the appointment. We also need a list of the medication you are currently taking. If necessary, a referral or the referring doctor's question is also helpful. For children and adolescents, we also ask for school documents, for example school reports or feedback from teachers.
You don't need anything else. We will discuss all the essentials together in the initial consultation.
3. duration & costs
The initial consultation usually lasts 50 minutes.
Costs: from €160 for initial psychological/psychotherapeutic consultations, from €250 for initial medical consultations – to be paid in cash on site. You will receive a fee note to submit to your health insurance or supplementary insurance.
Please note: For submission to the health insurance company, you need a referral from your general practitioner or, in the case of children and adolescents, from the pediatrician before the second appointment at the latest.
4. cancellation policy
Appointments can be canceled or postponed free of charge up to 48 hours in advance. In the event of cancellations at shorter notice or no-shows, the appointment will be charged in full.
Why this regulation?
The appointment is reserved exclusively for you. Appointments that become free at short notice can usually no longer be reallocated. The 48-hour rule therefore serves the fair use of our time and the resources of other patients.
Procedure for the initial consultation
The initial consultation serves to get to know each other and provide initial orientation:
- What brings you to the practice?
- What topics are you concerned with?
- What has been done so far?
- What expectations do you have of the treatment?
In the initial consultation, we take time to reflect together on what could support you at the moment - what kind of support seems sensible or whether additional steps or clarifications would be helpful. The aim is to gain a better understanding of your situation and discuss possible next steps at your own pace.
Initial consultation with children and young people
At the first appointment with children, it varies who should be present: Some appointments only take place with the parents at first, sometimes it makes sense to start directly with the child, and often a combination is helpful. Please clarify in advance by phone or email how we will organize the appointment so that everyone feels comfortable.
