Dr. Katrin Wippersberg is a multi-skilled psychoanalyst and psychotherapist who works with great empathy and extensive experience in the treatment of trauma, anxiety disorders and depression, as well as a profound couples therapist. After beginning her graduate studies in psychology at the University of Vienna and studying musical entertainment theater at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, she decided to follow her passion for accompanying and supporting people. She specialized in psychotherapeutic sciences at the Sigmund Freud Private University, where she graduated in 2018. A specialization in psychoanalysis and a doctorate at the Sigmund Freud Private University round off her well-founded and versatile academic education.
She also works as a teaching analyst and supervisor and accompanies prospective psychoanalysts and colleagues in their professional and personal development.
After initially working in her own practice, Katrin has been a cooperation partner of the psychotherapeutic center Wiener Couch since 2018. She was a contractual partner there for 6 years. In 2024, together with her business partners, she founded WWM Praxisraum GmbH, which provides the framework for the interdisciplinary therapeutic facility „THE VIENNESE PRACTICE“ was created. She has been a member of the management team there ever since.
With its dedicated work, it not only offers individual support for its patients, but also makes a significant contribution to the promotion and further development of mental health and well-being in society.
Dr. Katrin Wippersberg is an experienced psychoanalyst and psychotherapist who specializes in supporting parents, children, adolescents and families. With a deep understanding of child and adolescent development processes, family dynamics and the challenges of parenting, she helps parents to better understand the emotional, social and cognitive phases of their children.
In addition to parent-centered work, she also supports children and young people directly in challenging phases of their lives. These include emotional crises, self-esteem problems, anxiety, psychosomatic complaints or conspicuous behavior. In her therapeutic work, she creates a protected space in which young people can express their thoughts and feelings and develop new solutions.
Thanks to her sound training in psychoanalysis and her many years of clinical experience, she helps parents, children and adolescents to understand inner conflicts, strengthen their bond with each other and find support together in stressful situations.
A particular focus of her work is family therapy. She supports families in overcoming difficult situations such as separations, patchwork constellations, school problems or emotional stress together. She promotes a better understanding of the individual needs of all family members and helps them to find new ways to live together in harmony.
